Sucon wax8701 is based on Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane. It forms a soft film on skin or hair and provides a smooth, non-greasy feel. It can also work as an effective thickening and stabilizing agent in W/O formulations.

Sucon wax8801 is based on Stearyl Dimethicone. It has good skin affinity and adhesion, helping provide a glossy feel without clogging pores. When used with organic or inorganic sunscreens, it can help enhance the SPF value of sunscreen formulations.

Sucon wax8902 is based on Dimethicone and Silica. It offers excellent spreading properties and forms a soft film on skin or hair, providing a smooth and non-sticky feel. It can also act as a thickening and stabilizing agent in W/O systems.

  • Q1: What formulation problem does silicone wax mainly solve?
Silicone wax is mainly used to improve structure, smoothness, spreadability and sensory performance. It is useful when a formula needs better texture control, a smoother glide, improved gloss or a more refined after-feel.

Q2: Is silicone wax suitable for lip balm, lipstick or lip gloss formulations?
Yes. Silicone wax can be used in lip products to support smoother application, better structure and a more elegant surface feel. For lipstick or balm formulas, formulators should test it with oils, traditional waxes, pigments and film-forming ingredients.

Q3: Can silicone wax improve gloss in makeup or hair care products?
Yes. Silicone wax can help support a smoother and glossier finish, depending on the full formulation. It is often considered for lip products, cream makeup, hair care and other products where gloss, conditioning or smoothness is important.

Q4: How does silicone wax affect formula texture?
It can help adjust hardness, body, glide and payoff. In stick, balm or cream formulas, silicone wax may help create a smoother texture and reduce a heavy or greasy feel compared with some traditional wax systems.

Q5: Can silicone wax be used together with other waxes?
Yes. In many cosmetic formulas, silicone wax is used together with natural waxes, synthetic waxes, oils, esters or silicone oils. Compatibility testing is important to confirm melting behavior, texture, stability and final sensory feel.

Q6: What should R&D formulators check before choosing silicone wax?
Formulators should check melting point, compatibility with oils and silicones, target hardness, gloss level, spreadability, pigment compatibility and application type. This is especially important for lip products, sticks, creams and hair care formulas.

Q7: What should OEM/ODM factories confirm for customer projects?
OEM/ODM factories should confirm INCI name, recommended application range, technical documents, sample availability, batch consistency and whether the ingredient fits the customer’s target claims such as smooth glide, glossy finish, conditioning or non-greasy feel.

Q8: What purchasing details should importers or distributors confirm?
Importers and distributors should confirm product grade, packaging, MOQ, lead time, sample policy, TDS/MSDS/COA availability and long-term supply stability. These details help determine whether the product is suitable for local cosmetic manufacturers and brand customers.
